Mark DuPont brings more than four decades of leadership, operational, training, and consulting experience to each client’s personal or organizational journey.

Mark’s career has crossed boundaries that are too often treated as separate: operations and strategy, public service and business, the classroom and the field, personal character and professional performance.

He began in maritime public safety and built a career around preparing people and organizations for consequential work. His responsibilities expanded from boat operations and law enforcement to port security, emergency response, intelligence, homeland security, national training systems, organizational leadership, consulting, and expert analysis.

Across those settings, the recurring challenge remained the same: establish the true position, understand the conditions, define the destination, and help people move forward with purpose.

United States Coast Guard

A 27-year career shaped by maritime operations, law enforcement, port security, emergency response, program management, training, and command responsibility—ultimately retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer.

Florida Public Safety

As Chief of Intelligence and Domestic Security for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Mark helped connect more than 800 officers to statewide homeland-security efforts and advance waterborne response capability across Florida.

03National Impact

Boat Operations and Training

As national Director of Boat Operations and Training for NASBLA, he led the development of training, credentialing, instructor, and accreditation systems serving all 50 states and six U.S. territories.

04Enterprise

Consulting and Organizational Leadership

Through private-sector, nonprofit, and association leadership, Mark has built programs, led national teams, supported government and industry, and translated complex requirements into practical operating capability.

Waypoint and the NMLEA

As Chief Navigator of Waypoint Consultants and Executive Director of the National Maritime Law Enforcement Academy, Mark continues to serve leaders, organizations, instructors, attorneys, and maritime professionals.
